The last Herbivore Supper Club at the Embassy Cafe sold out in a matter of hours but luckily we still have spaces left for the two nights in the bigger venue of The Fig Tree in Penarth and have just posted up the menu for the next Cardiff date: Herbivore 056: Untitled 6th December at the Embassy Cafe. Details of both of these events can be found on the Supper Clubs page.
The last two venues for Herbivore supper clubs were a bit of a hit so why not go back to both for Christmas? Thursday 14th December sees us back at the Fig Tree in Penarth – once again 5 courses of seasonal vegan cuisine, with bookings from 6pm. Then it’s on to the Blue Honey Night Cafe on Tuesday 19th December at 7pm for a one sitting 5 course feast with a slightly different menu. Menus and more details here.
Herbivore at the Embassy cafe for the usual round of brunch, lunch & sweet treats Saturday 11 – 5. Won’t be there on Christmas Eve but back for New Years Eve with a special small plates menu running in the evening until late. More details coming soon.
It’s the darkest time of year with the added pressures of enforced jollity, good cheer and rampant consumerism. So what better way than to escape it all for a few hours in the convivial setting of Kemi’s Cafe in Pontcanna and enjoy five courses of creative, seasonal, vegan cuisine? We’ve created a darkly delicious menu of hearty, slightly boozy, winter food for your enjoyment with a soundtrack by the deeply missed mighty Prince (Buster). £25 pp Wednesday 14th December, 7m. Full menu here. None more black,

Well, we’re back where we started: Alternative Christmas Suppers. For Herbivores 014, 015 & 016 we’re going to run a two choice menu (vegetarian & vegan) on three nights in December. Demand has been increasing for the Herbivore Supper Clubs @ Kemi’s, with nearly all the events selling out incredibly quickly, so we thought it would be a good idea to offer three chances to sample our Christmas menu.
At there same time we’re going to broaden our range by offering a vegetarian choice rather than the usual fixed vegan menu. To keep things practical and affordable we will ask for you to make your menu choices when you book with us.
I hate talking about Christmas in November.
The first outing for the Herbivore sees collaborations with Kemi’s cafe in Pontcanna and The Abacus, Cardiff’s newest and most exciting art space slap bang in the middle of the city. One menu, two nights, two venues to sample the finest Welsh ingredients with a creative, festive slant. Christmas dinners without a turkey or a sprout in sight. At Kemi’s we’re offering a glass of mulled wine included in the price with other drinks available on the night. At the Abacus a selection of wine and beers on sale to compliment your meal.
Spaces are limited so booking is essential.
